Dell-Förderung 2024/25 was a project designed to support young people in using artificial intelligence tools in journalism in a conscious, creative and critical way. The project aimed to introduce participants to modern journalism practices, teach them AI-supported production processes and help them develop their own content. Through hands-on training sessions and group work, participants strengthened their media literacy, digital skills and analytical thinking capacities. In this respect, the project offered young people the opportunity both to understand the contemporary media environment and to prepare for the communication fields of the future.

 

Project Introduction

Dell-Förderung 2024/25 was launched to provide young people aged 15-25 with knowledge and experience at the intersection of journalism and artificial intelligence. Throughout the project, participants carried out practical work in areas such as conducting research with AI tools, performing data analysis, generating written content and preparing multimedia materials.

The project not only supported young people in using technical tools, but also encouraged them to evaluate media content from a critical perspective. In this way, participants developed both as content producers and as conscious media users in line with contemporary journalism practices.

Project Objectives

The main objective of the project was to help young people gain knowledge and skills in modern journalism. In addition, the project aimed to teach the conscious use of artificial intelligence tools, improve media literacy and strengthen critical thinking skills.

 

Activities Carried Out

  • Introductory workshops were held covering the basic principles of journalism and the use of artificial intelligence.
  • Research and data analysis activities were conducted.
  • Practical training sessions on writing and automated content generation were provided.
  • Multimedia production activities focusing on visual, video and audio content were carried out.
  • Journalism projects were developed collaboratively in groups.
  • Mentorship and regular feedback processes were implemented.

Outputs and Results

At the end of the project, participants prepared various journalism projects and published different types of content. Throughout the process, participants showed clear improvement in their media and digital skills and increased their ability to use AI-supported production tools.

Participants also gained stronger practical experience in research, content development and media production. These outcomes demonstrated that the project was an effective initiative both in terms of learning outcomes and production based experience.

 

Impact

Dell-Förderung 2024/25 made a significant contribution to the development of young people’s media and digital skills. Participants strengthened their abilities in critical thinking, analysis and adapting to modern journalism processes.

The project also helped young people become better prepared for new professional opportunities and contributed to increasing their self-confidence. In this respect, the initiative presented a valuable capacity-building model that prepares young people for the media world of the future.
