Über Computer reden
Über Computer reden is a social support project aimed at improving the digital skills of women with migrant backgrounds living in the Kreis Offenbach region. Within the scope of the project, participants were taught the basic use of computers, the internet and mobile technologies in order to support them in acting more independently in daily life. At the same time, the project sought to raise awareness about safe internet use and access to digital services. In this respect, the project contributed to empowering women both in their personal lives and in their participation in social life.
Project Introduction
Über Computer reden was carried out to support migrant women in participating in the digital world in a safer, more informed and more independent way. Within the project, practical training sessions were provided on topics such as basic computer use, internet access, the use of mobile devices and access to online services.
The project aimed to enable participants to use the digital tools they need in everyday life, simplify official procedures and benefit from digital services. The training process also offered a learning environment that increased social participation, built self-confidence and supported equal opportunities.

Project Objectives
The main objective of the project was to enable migrant women to use digital technologies safely, consciously and independently. In this way, the project aimed to increase women’s participation in social life, help them manage daily tasks more easily and strengthen their access to digital services.
Activities Carried Out
- Weekend training courses were organized.
- Basic training on the use of computers, tablets and smartphones was provided.
- Skills in internet research and email use were developed.
- Information sessions on social media use and safe internet practices were conducted.
- Practical guidance was provided on access to online services, shopping and official procedures.
- Digital applications that could be used in education and child development were introduced.
Outputs and Results
At the end of the project, participants gained basic digital skills and showed improvement in writing emails and using the internet. Their ability to access and use digital applications employed in daily life was strengthened.
Through the two courses organized in 2023, the project aimed to reach at least 16 women in total and created a concrete space for learning and empowerment for the women who directly participated.
Impact
The Über Computer reden project contributed to strengthening women’s self-confidence by increasing their digital literacy. Participants were supported in taking a more active role in social life, managing their daily lives more independently and using digital tools more consciously.
In addition, the project presented an important model of social inclusion by helping women make more effective use of digital opportunities in areas such as their children’s education, family life planning and the management of everyday responsibilities.
