As part of an EU Erasmus+ project implemented by the International Journalists Association (IJA) Academy, the youth-run Instagram page TruthLab has officially gone live. The project’s main goal is to raise public awareness about the rapidly growing spread of disinformation, fake news and manipulative content.
TruthLab serves as a digital workshop initiated by young people in response to the increasing problem of information pollution, especially on social media platforms. The page will share a variety of content, including:
- Verification techniques and fact-checking methods
- Media literacy tools
- Examples of misinformation
- Analysis of manipulative content
- Techniques for assessing information reliability
Through this project, young people will:
- develop their digital media literacy skills,
- learn to identify manipulative news,
- raise social awareness,
- strengthen their critical thinking abilities.
Entirely managed and creatively produced by young contributors, TruthLab aims to analyze current events and inform its audience with clear and reliable insights.
