Press Ad Institution started to label newspaper readers

Press Ad Institution started to label newspaper readers

In the past months, Political, Economic and Social Research Foundation (SETA) of vouchers on behalf of journalists working for international organizations in Turkey has attracted a great response. Journalists’ names, social media accounts, shares and news were disclosed and posted.

The receipts have gained a new dimension with the subsequent appointment of the signatories in the SETA report to the Press Advertisement Agency (RCC). BİK, cutting the ads of Evrensel Newspaper, showed the filing that it made on newsstands as a reason. This issue was pointed out in the article of Ayşe Yıldırım from Artı Gercek. The article titled “They first plugged journalists and now readers” summarized as follows; “Those who targeted journalists by preparing a report at SETA went one step further when they were connected to the Press Ad Agency…

In July 2019, published “Turkey Extension of International Media Organizations” report drew a great response. Do not look at the name of the report, journalists were directly targeted. Journalists working for international media organizations were officially labeled with their names, social media accounts, shares and news.

As you can imagine, they were ‘accused’ of not reporting on the will and expectation of the government. Not only them, but a small number of newspapers and websites using their news were also included in this filing.

They also announced their intentions at the end of the report. A board that oversees these media organizations should be created! It was the Politics, Economics and Community Research Foundation that prepared the report. (SETA) One of the signatories in the report was Ismail Çağlar, a member of SETA and a Takvim Newspaper. As a matter of fact, one month after this report, İsmail Çağlar was among the 12 people appointed by the President of the Republic to the Press Advertising Agency (RCC). Another of the appointed names is Assoc. Dr. Zahid Sobacı was the director of the Political Researches of the SETA Foundation at the time.

Fecir Alptekin, Saadet Oruç, Mehmet Akarca, Muhammet Mücahit Küçükyılmaz, Hamdi Kılıç, who were appointed as the representatives of the BIK General Assembly, were already advisors to Erdoğan. So who was the head of the Press Announcement Authority? Rıdvan Duran, brother of Burhanettin Duran, the General Coordinator of SETA.

In other words, SETA, which had its name written on the history of the press as the institution that broke the journalists, also took over the Press Ad Agency. And the Press Announcement Authority has today cut the ads of the Universal Newspaper, which İsmail Çağlar called “marginal”. Moreover, for a scandalous reason.

According to BIK, which conducted “individual examinations at dealerships in Adana, Ankara, Diyarbakır, Istanbul, Izmir and Kocaeli” on 28 November 2019, 8 newspapers in İzmir Meydan Market and three newspapers in Has-Er Market were taken by one person. 43 of 47 newspapers in Ankara Mert Ulaş dealers were bought and distributed by a reader. 5 newspapers from Adana Nesrit Bulut dealer and 2 newspapers from Aktif Gıda Pazarlama were bought by one person. In Gebze, 15 of the 20 newspapers delivered to the Şen Gıda dealer were collected collectively, and 8 newspapers from Zaman Gıda!

So one person bought more than one newspaper!

Not only these, but another thing on the reason for the RCC was drawing attention: “5 of the newspapers sent to the Diyarbakır Nevzat Aydın dealer were taken by a person and taken to the prison.” And according to BIK, this is “crime”! So how does BİK know that those newspapers are taken to prison? Let us say; The Press Ad Institution, whose task is to mediate the publication of official advertisements and advertisements of public institutions, in newspapers and magazines, has acquired a new task. plug readers. Yesterday, they were “plugging” journalists at SETA, and today, they are “plugging” readers at BIK.
