Journalist Hayri Demir’s interview with Selahattin Demirtaş, the former co-chairman of HDP and the photo he took during the interview, was shown as evidence in the case where he was charged with being a member of an organization ”and making propaganda of an terrorist organization”.

About the Case
On February 28, 2017, a “thief” broke into the house of journalist Hayri Demir, living in the Çankaya district of Ankara. Instead of taking the money-filled piggy bank on the table in the room, the person or people took only two memory cards from the camera in the drawer. With Demir’s notice, police came to his house and took fingerprint investigation and took astatement down.
At the end of the investigation that lasted for about two years, the indictment showed the news images and photographs on the memory cards stolen from Demir’s house as evidence for the blame.
