Volunteers advocating for free media across different regions had the opportunity to meet in person this time, after a year of online solidarity, and to strengthen their bonds. Participants enjoyed reconnecting while also discussing recent developments in the media landscape.
Experienced journalists met with the next generation of media professionals
At the meeting, veteran journalists and young media creators came together to share their experiences. The exchange of knowledge and ideas between generations was highlighted by participants as one of the most valuable aspects of the event.
Warm atmosphere with a picnic spirit
In a relaxed picnic setting, attendees shared breakfast and took advantage of meal breaks to socialize. Special gifts were handed out to children, and a raffle added joy to the day. Members and their families spent a pleasant Sunday enjoying the park’s entertainment and play areas.
IJA officials emphasized that such gatherings, which strengthen the bond among members, are of vital importance for independent media. They announced that preparations for next year’s event would begin immediately.
