It is an international professional solidarity association based in Germany. As a public interest association, it has been continuing its activities in the fields of independent broadcasting and media freedom since 2019, with its status registered and transparency approved.
The International Journalists Association (IJA) is committed to the principles of the Global Charter of Ethics for Journalists of IFJ and the German Press Codex.
These frameworks guide IJA’s work in upholding accuracy, independence, accountability, and respect for human dignity in journalism.
IJA rejects disinformation, hate speech, and political instrumentalization of the media in all forms.
By aligning its editorial standards with internationally recognized ethical norms, IJA seeks to strengthen public trust and protect the integrity of independent journalism across borders.

To be the organizer or supporter of all kinds of activities aimed at ensuring dialogue, solidarity and professional development among media professionals on an international scale.

To increase solidarity and information sharing among members of the media.
Prepare and report research and analysis on the media sector.
Defending media freedom and carrying out activities for its expansion.
To realize supportive projects for media members who are victimized while practicing their profession.
Organizing training activities for candidates who want to work in the media field or to develop their professional expertise.
To work for the provision of financial support to individuals or organizations operating in the field of media, projects, from their own resources or external sources.
To contribute to the establishment of media ethics. To combat behaviors that undermine trust in the profession, such as self-censorship, manipulation and disinformation.
To ensure that those working in different media groups meet and engage in dialogue.
To carry out all its activities on a global scale, regardless of belief, language and race, covering all countries and media members of the world.
To be open to cooperation with international media institutions and to organize when necessary for its global purpose.
