To Istanbul’s 27th High\nCriminal Court, the former newspaper and former directors of the Cumhuriyet\nnewspaper Ak\u0131n Atalay, Orhan Erin\u00e7,\nMurat Sabuncu, Ayd\u0131n Engin, Hikmet \u00c7etinkaya, HDP deputy Ahmet \u015e\u0131k, \u00d6nder\n\u00c7elik, B\u00fclent Utku, G\u00fcray Tekin\u00f6z, Hac\u0131 Musa Kart, Hakan Karasinir, Mustafa\nKemal G\u00fcng\u00f6r, Ahmet Kadri G\u00fcrsel attended the hearing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court prosecutor who was asked for his opinion on\nthe decision of the 16th Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation, acting in\nagreement and consensus of the defendants FET\u00d6, PKK, DHKP-C to commit terrorist\norganizations claiming to commit the crime and wanted 16th Criminal Chamber of\nthe Supreme Court to resist and punish the defendants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The defendants opinions were asked of the Supreme\nCourt about the reversal decision and they wanted to comply with the previous\ndecision<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the court chairman asked the defendants his final\nremarks, Bahri Belen, one of the defendants’ lawyers, took the floor and said\nthat the court should first decide whether the Supreme Court’s decision to\nabide is to be followed. Thereupon, the defendant’s lawyer Ergin Cinmen\ndemanded a rejection judge on the grounds that the procedure was not followed.\nThe court rejected Cinme’s refusal and received the final remarks of the defendants.\nThe defendants who took the stand for their last words demanded their\nacquittal. Ahmet \u015e\u0131k: The Supreme Court’s decision reflected the\ntruth but it is incomplete. Anyone who is tried as a defendant here must be\nacquitted. The decision of the Court of Cassation is the determination that\nthose in the investigation and prosecution phase cannot be lawful. Whoever is\ninvolved in this conspiracy must stand trial. The owner of the conspiracy, the\njudiciary and the media that make the partnership should know that we won\u2019t\nneither fear nor kneel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ak\u0131n Atalay: Ak\u0131n Atalay: Prosecutor Murat \u0130nam, who\nfiled a lawsuit with the claim of \u201chelping FET\u00d6\u201d for us, continues to be tried\nfor \u201cFET\u00d6 membership\u201d in the Supreme Court of Appeals. Musa Kart: We witnessed a period exceeding the\nimagination of a humorist. After staying in Silivri for nine months, we\nappeared before the judge. The prosecutor that requested 40 years for us, was\ncharged with being a FET\u00d6 member. Shouldn’t we expect an apology while the\nSupreme Court decided that we’re doing journalism? Yeah, I’m waiting for an\napology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the final\nremarks, the court board evacuated the courtroom to decide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court\nacquitted Kadri G\u00fcrsel. The reasoning, the Constitutional Court’s decision, the\nposition of the other defendants, the subject of the indictment should be\nevaluated within the scope of heavy criticism, not being a ruler, so there is\nnot enough and convincing evidence of any doubt was shown. The lawyers stated\nthat this decision of the court would go to the 16th Criminal Chamber of the\nSupreme Court of Appeals, if the criminal department resisted the decision, the\nfile would be evaluated at the General Assembly of the Supreme Court of\nAppeals, and that the penalties would be approved in this way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
