On May 28, 2025, IJA helds its first Meet2Brunch in an inspiring setting with renowned media and communication scholar Prof. Hanan Badr.<\/p>\n
Prof. Badr, whose research focuses on media pluralism, exile journalism, and transnational communication, provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of journalistic work in exile.<\/p>\n
Distinguished journalists attended the brunch, including Fatih Akalan (MC TV), Ebru Kaymak (Deutsche Bold), Sevin\u00e7 \u00d6zarslan (TR724), Yavuz Acar, and investigative journalist Cevheri G\u00fcven. Representing IJA were Dr. Mehmet Evli, Mustafa K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7, and Yasemin Ayd\u0131n, Director of International Relations and Social Responsibility.<\/p>\n
The exchange was intense, collegial, and enriching \u2013 focusing on issues of credibility, security, and visibility of exiled voices in the international media landscape. The Meet2Brunch format proved to be a successful platform for developing shared perspectives in a relaxed atmosphere and for generating new ideas for work in exile.<\/p>\n
