The International Journalists Association (IJA) has successfully completed a one-month intensive training program focused on AI-driven next-generation content production. The initiative aimed to equip journalists, media professionals, and younger generations with new skills aligned with the evolving demands of the digital age.
In line with its mission to strengthen press freedom and freedom of expression, the IJA organized a comprehensive program centered on the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence in media production. The training was conducted in two groups, morning and evening, enabling broad participation.
Throughout the program, participants were introduced to state-of-the-art AI tools for visual, video, and text-based content creation, supported by hands-on practice. They gained end-to-end experience with AI-assisted production processes, including script development, short-film editing, visual design, text generation, and multimedia content planning.
All required technical infrastructure was provided by the IJA. Participants had free access to hardware, software, and licensed AI tools, creating an inclusive learning environment for both experienced journalists and emerging media creators.
At the conclusion of the training, participants produced short films or multimedia projects of at least two minutes as final assignments. These projects were evaluated based on original storytelling, visual quality, and responsible use of AI, resulting in a wide range of innovative works and new narrative approaches.
The sessions were led by AI content specialists and media professionals, addressing not only technical applications but also ethical considerations, copyright issues, and the broader impact of AI on journalism.
The association believes that such programs will open the door to new working models, innovative collaborations, and expanded production and employment opportunities, particularly for independent media producers and journalists in exile. The IJA plans to continue offering similar AI and media training programs on a regular basis.
