On its second day, the RAI Amsterdam transformed into a true technology hub as the International Broadcasting Convention 2025 (IBC2025) continued to exceed expectations. Running from September 12–15, 2025, the event remains one of the most prestigious gatherings for professionals in media, entertainment, and technology.

Bringing together leaders and innovators from around the world, IBC2025 is dedicated to exploring innovation, collaboration, and inspiration. This year, the spotlight has been firmly on the role of artificial intelligence in broadcasting.

AI driving the future of media

Sessions focused on the future of AI in broadcasting drew the greatest interest. Industry experts showcased AI-powered content creation tools, personalized broadcasting flows, and fully automated production solutions. These technologies were met with enthusiastic applause on stage, as they promise not only new creative possibilities but also significant efficiency gains.

As media analyst Tim Hofman noted: “IBC surprises us every year, but this year it was truly remarkable to see the potential of AI in broadcasting so clearly demonstrated.”

Stages, demos and innovations

Events at the Showcase Theatre and the Content Everywhere zone provided visitors with both inspiration and hands-on experience. Live demonstrations allowed participants to test cutting-edge tools directly.

A highlight was the Future Tech Hall 14, which showcased immersive sports broadcasting, virtual production sets, and other advanced applications. This area quickly became one of the most visited spots of the exhibition.

Attendance and exhibitors

According to organizers, day two alone welcomed around 45,000 participants from 170 countries. More than 1,200 companies – from startups to industry leaders – presented their latest products and services.

What’s next on the program

Despite the impressive line-up so far, the convention is only halfway through. Still ahead are the IBC Awards, the finals of the Google Cloud Hackfest, and exclusive panels hosted by major global platforms. Live demos promising to redefine sports coverage and virtual production are also on the agenda.

IBC2025 once again proves itself as a source of inspiration and a global showcase for the media and technology industries. For anyone seeking to discover the future of broadcasting and content creation, this event remains indispensable.
