Journalist-Blacklisting SETA’s new report’s financier is European Union

Came to fore by blacklisting journalist working in international media institutions in Turkey, Politics Economy and Society Researches Foundation’s (SETA) new report’s financier is European Union.

SETA ,in their statement, said that “Europe İslamaphobia Report 2018 is going to be published in the European Week Against Islamophobia.” 

Statement stresssed that report financiered by European UnionCivil Society Dialogue Programme.  It was regretted European Unions supporting a blacklisting foundation.

JOURNALISTS WERE BLACKLISTED

“International Media Institutions Turkey Extentions” titled report prepared by İsmail Çağlar, Kevser Hülya Akdemir and Seca Toker, on behalf of SETA, blacklisting activities about Voice of America (VOA), BBC, Deutche Welle, Euronews, Sputnik, CRJ ve The Independent were made.   In the report, over the editorial policy of these media organizations concerned about the developments in Turkey, analyses were seen to be made in “proximity or critical approach to government policies” framework.

In the report, beyond media institutions broadcasting policies, comments on those journalists personal social media accounts, therefore their personal opinion posts, and on their professional background drew the attention.
