Journalist Ibrahim Haskoloğlu, who was arrested due to his social media posts, has been released.
The journalist Ibrahim Haskologlu, who was arrested as a part of the investigation opened for ”unlawful seizure of personal information”, was ordered to be released. Haskologlu’s lawyer Emrah Karatay, who is known for sharing news on Twitter, announced on his social media account that his client had been released.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs had filed a complaint about Haskologlu, who shared identity cards with photos and information of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and MIT Director Hakan Fidan via the social media network Twitter. After that, the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation against Haskologlu for “illegally obtaining personal information”. Haskologlu, who was detained as part of the investigation, was arrested by the court he was taken.
