‘If journalists in exile could do their job in Turkey…’

Korkusuz Newspaper writer Memduh Bayraktaroglu YouTube posted bravely on his channel again. Bayraktaroglu said, “If journalists in exile had been allowed to stay in the country and do their jobs, Turkey would not have come to this situation today.”

Journalist Memduh Bayraktaroglu, who said that he received criticism for his videos mentioning exiled journalists, said in a YouTube post that he would continue these publications despite the criticism.

Bayraktaroglu said, “I will continue the broadcasts, of course, why wouldn’t I. In the past, I was criticizing them, and they were criticizing me. We were jousting at each other, what could be more natural than that. But I didn’t see a gun in their hands even for once, they didn’t use violence on me even for once, they didn’t insult me even for once, they didn’t complain somewhere for me to go to jail even for once, we had civilized discussions. If these names I have mentioned had been allowed to stay in Turkey and work as journalists, Turkey would not have come to this situation. Erdogan would not have entered the irreversible path in this turmoil, he would have returned from there before his mistakes turned into crimes.”
