C’mon and let the cameras roll for human rights!
To all amateur and professional film enthusiasts who feel they have something to say about human rights and have an idea for a film, this call is for you:
The 9th EU Human Rights Short Film Competition organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey invites all film directors to take part in the competition with an original film entry based on a human rights theme.
If you want to talk about human rights, spark a discussion, and raise awareness about human rights issues through the medium of film, this is your opportunity. Get behind the camera and let’s get to work together to inspire everyone we can reach.
The films, which can be based on any genre or technique, must have a duration of between 3 to 10 minutes.
You may submit your entries online from 1 July 2019 onwards until 8 November 2019. See below for the conditions for entry and the application form.
The EU Delegation will be holding a one-day workshop with university students this fall.
Winners of the competition will receive prizes while the winning films will be screened at the 9th European Union Human Rights Film Days festival scheduled to take place in December on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day.
