The International Journalists Association (IJA) announced the successful completion of the “Dell-Förderung 2024/25” project aimed at supporting refugee children and young people.
The project, carried out between October 2024 and September 2025, was designed primarily for young people aged 14 to 20 living in and around Frankfurt am Main. Throughout the project, regular computer courses and supplementary lessons were offered to provide sustainable support during an important stage of participants’ lives – completing school, vocational training and career orientation.
The project focused on developing digital skills, the safe use of modern technology and support for participants’ educational and professional futures. Many of the young people who took part in the program not only improved their digital abilities but also gained self confidence and took important steps toward integration, education and entering working life.
The project was implemented through cooperation between Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk e.V. (DKHW) and Dell Technologies under the “Help for Refugee Children” special fund. In addition to financial support, high quality laptops provided through this partnership were actively used both during the courses and in the participants’ individual learning processes.
IJA expressed its sincere gratitude to Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk and Dell for their trust and support. Thanks to this cooperation, many young people in and around Frankfurt am Main were provided with new educational opportunities and supported in moving toward an independent future.
