RTUK: Defamatory news against Peace Spring operation are immediately shutted down

Radio and Television Supreme Council in it’s statement over Peace Spring operation; “Disintegrating and destructive publications of foreign origin with the support of terrorist organizations against Peace Spring operation are quickly identified and silenced in cooperation with other relevant institutions of the state.”

Over publications that anger the public required processes are done at once said the council and added:

“During the operation of our heroic army that there is no doubt that it will be crowned with victory as before, we deem necessarity to draw attention and warnings to some points regarding radio and television broadcasts and internet field.

As the Supreme Council of Radio and Television, we invite our media service providers to be sensitive about the news during the Peace Spring Operation.

RTUK, continues to follow up the publications of the organizations that are in their field of activity, especially those broadcasting on the internet, which are mostly followed by the young audience.

We would like to thank especially to our valuable broadcasting organizations for meeting the needs of our society with the right information and contributing to our national unity and solidarity. RTÜK provided the necessary contacts as before to closed down the organizations that broadcast terrorism related publications and in this respect has accelerated the necessary initiatives with the international organizations related to most of the abroad broadcasting and terror justifying the organizations. We are in contact with external satellite infrastructure service providers.
